Auditions for the Musical RIDE THE CYCLONE (Levels) In-Person
AUDITIONS ARE THURS. JULY 11 between 6:30-9:30pm and SAT. JULY 13 between 5:00-8:00pm.
For teens 7th grade and up (those who will be in 7th grade in Fall 2024 are included). Ride The Cyclone (Teen Edition) is an outrageous, wildly imaginative story that delivers surprises at every turn. Six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are killed in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in a strange, carnival-like purgatory, a mechanical fortune teller invites each of them to tell their story and win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life. At once quirky and smart, edgy and beautiful, Ride the Cyclone is a funny, startling and moving look at what makes a life well-lived. Please note that we will be performing the authors' edited PG-13 teen edition of the show.
Auditioners should prepare at least 16 bars of a Broadway-style song (songs from Ride the Cyclone are fine) and be ready to sing a cappella (without music). They will also be asked to read from sections of the script (that will be provided). The show may possibly be double-cast. Performances are scheduled for August 15, 16 and 17, 2024. Rehearsals are normally Monday through Thursday evenings, please be aware that the rehearsal period is VERY short and we may need to give priority to people who have this time free.
All other production staff positions (except director which will be announced ASAP) will be decided right after casting happens this weekend (but please let us know NOW or during auditions if you’re interested!). Please note that because of the small size of the cast (even with double-casting), cast members might not be allowed to also do production staff roles.
ALSO SEEKING MUSICIANS: KEYBOARD, BASS, GUITAR, DRUMS, CELLO - if interested, please contact us ASAP!
No registration is required for Levels events unless otherwise noted.
