Improv Comedy Workshop for Adults In-Person
Improv is all about getting out of one's head and being in the moment. This class is for anyone who is curious about improv comedy. You can see improv in scenes from the show "Whose Line Is it Anyway" and it is used frequently in the show "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Famous improvisers include Stephen Colbert, Amy Poehler, Wayne Brady, and Tina Fey. Improv is not stand-up and we won't be writing or crafting jokes. This class is great for folks looking for a chance to play, be silly, and have fun. It's also a useful class if you have social anxiety, want to develop your public speaking skills, or are just looking to try something new.
Your teacher, Richard Gottesman, has produced and performed in improv comedy shows in New York. He has studied improv in California, Canada, and Manhattan. He has seen first hand how much joy folks experience doing improv. He loves improv and cannot wait for you to join in on the fun!
Registration for Great Neck cardholders and residents begins April 29 at 10:00 AM, online, in-person, or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, as space allows.
