Auditions for Levels' Winter Play: THE BACCHAE

Auditions for Levels' Winter Play: THE BACCHAE In-Person

Seeking teen actors 7th grade and up.  Levels’ winter play is Euripides’ notorious tragicomedy, newly adapted and directed by Peter Pitt Stoller.

Do you like the Percy Jackson series?  Greek Mythology in general?  Well, if you like theatre, Dionysian revelry, or just a good tragic downfall, you'll enjoy The Bacchae!  In it, Dionysus, patron god of wine, parties, and tearing people apart in frenzied madness, comes to Thebes, the city of his birth, to avenge his mother’s disgrace after death, get revenge on the King (his first cousin Pentheus) for outlawing his worship, and simply cause chaos and debauchery wherever he goes.

All auditioners should be ready to read from scripts we will provide, and should also prepare a song that shows off their vocal range (the Greek Chorus in the play has songs they will need to sing).

Show is scheduled for Dec. 18-20, 2025.

No registration is required for Levels events unless otherwise noted.
